Eligibility
General Purpose (GP) Rating Course
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational
Qualification: Matriculation pass with minimum 40% marks in English and possessing valid passport.
- Age
Limit: Between 17.5 to 25 years. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST
candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and an additional 2 years for
women candidates.
- Medical
Examination: Candidates must undergo a medical examination by a
DGS-approved doctor.
- Psychometric
Test: Personality profiling by a qualified psychologist.
🛠️ Graduate Marine
Engineering (GME) Course
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational
Qualification: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture,
or related fields with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
- Age
Limit: Maximum 28 years as on the commencement date of the course.
Relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
- English
Proficiency: Minimum 50% marks in English at the 10th or 12th
standard.
- Medical
Fitness: Candidates must meet the medical standards set by DGS,
including vision requirements.
🧭 Diploma in Nautical
Science (DNS)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational
Qualification: Pass in 12th Standard or equivalent examination with
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as separate subjects, with a
PCM average of not less than 60%. Alternatively, a B.Sc. in Physics,
Mathematics, Chemistry, or Electronics with Physics as an individual
subject in one of the years, with an average of not less than 55% marks in
the final year.
- English
Proficiency: Minimum 50% marks in English at the 10th or 12th
standard.
- Age
Limit: Maximum 25 years. Relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates, 5
years for SC/ST candidates, and an additional 2 years for women
candidates.
- Medical
Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit as per DGS standards.
